Bridgestone RB-1

Here's my Bridgestone RB-1 from the late 90s that I restored in early 2025. It has Shimano 600 cranks, chainrings, front and rear derailleur, and hubs. It also has Dia-Compe single-pivot brakes, along with a quad-butted and lightweight steel frame.

Can't wait to ride this beauty once spring rolls around!

Specialized Hotrock 24

This is my Specialized Hot rock 24, that has been thoroughly modified. Gone is the 24-inch fork and wheel, and in its place is a 26-inch fork and wheel from an old Trek. Converted it to single speed, uitilzing a Shimano Alfine chain tensioner. After adding new bars, grips, brakes, and stem, this is a really fun bike to ride around town!

I took the Hotrock out to the woods and promptly found out that it's not really adequate for mountain biking. Especially on trails that only semi-exist. I now want a mountain bike too.

I said good-bye to traditional chain lube, and waxed my bicycle chains.

A pound of wax for $6.99. Quite the bargain!

Cooling the chains in the snow.
